I've never used a pet-sitter... how does it work? Our goal is to make leaving your pets as easy for you as possible. We start with a free in-home consultation. This meeting gives you an opportunity to meet us, learn about our policies and procedures, and ask any questions that you have. We値l also have you fill out the required paperwork and request a key. During this meeting, we gather all of the information we need to care for your pets, including normal routine, feeding schedules and amounts, type of exercise required, favorite toys, special needs, or medications, where supplies are kept etc. We also spend time with your pets so that they can become familiar and comfortable with us. We do require that your pets be up-to-date on their vaccinations and may ask to see veterinary records. At the end of this meeting, you will receive a written estimate for our services. How much notice is required to schedule services? We require at least 4-days notice for scheduled services. During busy times, such as holidays, it is recommended that you call as early as possible as we book on a first come, first served basis. Our schedules do fill up more quickly around major holidays. How long does each visit last? Each visit is 20 minutes. If you feel your pet(s) need a longer visit, we are more than happy to spend additional time. We will stay in 10 minute increments beyond the typical 20 minute visit. Please visit our Services page for a fee schedule. What supplies do I need to provide? We request that you supply pet food and treats, cat litter and a scooper (for cats), plastic bags to dispose of waste, a leash and collar in good condition with ID and local license tag (for dogs), a drying towel, toys, a brush and comb, paper towels and cleaning supplies, and if required, medications with instructions. Enough of the above supplies need to be left to last for the duration of our visits. We will purchase supplies if required, and will add the cost to your invoice along with a convenience fee. What are your payment policies? For vacation care, we require a down-payment of 50%, which will not be deposited until the completion of our services. Full payment of the balance is due within 10 days of our last visit. For daily mid-day care, we require a down payment of 1 week's fees, to be credited to your last week of service. Thereafter, payment is due at the beginning of each week. Can I call to check on my pets? We understand how difficult it is to be separated from your pets. If you would like to contact us between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. EST daily to check on your pets please feel free to do so! We will provide you with our cell phone numbers during the initial meet and greet. What if my plans change while I知 away? We understand your plans may change and are very flexible if notified. If you need to return home early or need to extend your absence, please notify us immediately by calling 215.353.8820 or 215.801.2852. Please do not email us unless it is more than 24 hours prior to your change of plans. If you do not notify us of an early return and we arrive at the appointed time to find you home, the regular per visit charge applies. |
